We’re proud to currently have four teams competing in the Badminton Sheffield League. The exact mix of teams can vary slightly from season to season, depending on membership and interest.

Final team line-ups are confirmed in September once we know who’s available to play.

• Open Plastics 1
• Open Plastics 2

Fixtures for the current season can be found on the Sheffield Badminton website. Once the new season’s fixtures are arranged, you’ll also be able to download them from our website or pick up a copy at club sessions.

Team Selection

Team selection takes place during the first few club sessions in September and is organised by our selection committee.

If you’re interested in playing league badminton, make sure you come along to plenty of sessions early in the season and don’t be shy about letting the selection committee know you’d like to be considered (especially if they haven’t had a chance to see you play yet!).

Once teams are finalised, a captain is chosen from within each team to lead it for the season.

Matches

Home matches are played during regular club nights, using one or two of our four courts on either Tuesdays or Fridays. Away matches depend on the opposition’s schedule but are almost always held on weekday evenings.
