Joining

To join the club, just come down to a club session. It might be wise to contact us to let us know you're coming so we can make sure we look out for you and answer any questions you have.

If we think you're struggling with the games, we might suggest that you get some coaching elsewhere before joining, since it's not much fun for anyone if if we have really one-sided games. But as long as you're able to serve tolerably well, and keep a rally going for a little while, then you'll be welcome.

Fees are:

• £120 per year standard membership
• £80 per year for full-time students over 18
• £60 per year for juniors
• If you play in a team, match fees are about £1 per match for plastics teams and about £3 per match for feathers teams.

The standard joining fee can be paid in two installments of £60 each if this helps.

We believe that the fees give very good value for money considering we provide two club sessions per week in a well equipped hall, with many teams and a friendly atmosphere, and the price includes personal membership to Badminton England. Come down to a club session and see if you agree!

You can come as a visitor for a few sessions before making the decision to join. The visitors' fees are £3 per session (£2 for students/juniors), and this cost is taken off the joining fee if you later decide to join.
